Important privacy information
In order to use Rezime, we may ask you to provide certain information such as your name, email address, country, billing details, education data, and employment history. We also automatically collect some technical information from your browser or device, including cookies, IP address, browser type, device model, system language, OS version, time zone, and information about how you interact with our product and campaigns. We use this information to provide and improve the Service, keep it secure, and measure the performance of our features and ads.
For improving the Service and serving ads, we may use third-party solutions such as Amazon Web Services, Google, DigitalOcean, Amplitude, Hotjar, Tableau, Microsoft Clarity, Customer.io, Zendesk, PayPal, Solid, GrowthBook, and OpenAI. Please read the full Privacy Policy below to learn more about what we do with data (Section 3), which data privacy rights are available to you (Section 6), and who is responsible for your data (Section 1). If any questions remain unanswered, please contact us at support@rezime.io.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is collected when you use the website located at https://rezime.io (the "Website"), the services and products provided through it (together with the Website, the "Service"), and how such personal data will be processed.
By using the Service, you promise us that (i) you have read, understand, and agree to this Privacy Policy, and (ii) you are over 16 years of age (or have had your parent or guardian read and agree to this Privacy Policy for you). If you do not agree or are unable to make this promise, you must not use the Service. In that case, you should (a) contact us and request deletion of your data, (b) leave the Website and not access or use it, and (c) cancel any active subscriptions or trials.

3. For what purposes we process personal data
We process your personal data to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, and for the specific purposes described below.
3.1 To provide our Service. We use your data to operate Rezime, keep it secure, and ensure core functionality works correctly (for example, logging in, saving resumes, and exporting them). For hosting and infrastructure we may use Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and DigitalOcean.
We use the OpenAI API to analyze user-provided information and automatically generate professional resume content, which is then formatted and displayed within the Service.
3.2 To provide you with customer support. We use your contact details and message content to respond to support requests and other inquiries. For support we may use Zendesk or similar tools.
3.3 To communicate with you regarding your use of the Service. We may send you transactional and product messages (for example, about changes to the Service, account status, or security notifications).
3.4 To research and analyze your use of the Service. We use analytics tools (such as Amplitude, Hotjar, Google Analytics, Clarity, Tableau, and GrowthBook) to understand how Rezime is used, so we can improve performance and design.
3.5 To send you marketing communications. With your consent or where permitted by law, we may send you emails or in-app messages about new features, tips, or offers. For this we may use Customer.io or similar platforms.
3.6 To personalize our ads. We and our partners may use your data to show you more relevant ads and to measure their performance. See the cookie/ads sections above for how to opt out.
3.7 To process your payments. We rely on payment providers such as PayPal and Solid to process your purchases. Rezime itself does not store full payment card details.
3.8 To enforce our terms and prevent fraud. We may use your data to enforce our Terms and Conditions, prevent abuse, and protect our rights and users.
3.9 To comply with legal obligations. We may process or share data where required to do so by law or to respond to valid requests from public authorities.
4. Under what legal bases we process your personal data (EEA-based users)

- Legal obligations. We may process certain data to comply with applicable laws, such as tax or accounting rules.
5. With whom we share your personal data
We share information with third parties that help us operate, provide, improve, integrate, support, and market the Service. These include:

7. Age limitation
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly process personal data of anyone under 16 years of age. If you learn that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. International data transfers
We may transfer personal data to countries other than the one in which it was originally collected. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA or UK to countries that do not provide an adequate level of data protection, we will use appropriate safeguards such as European Commission–approved Standard Contractual Clauses or rely on adequacy decisions where applicable.
9. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by reasonable means (for example, by email or a prominent notice in the Service) and update the "Last updated" date at the end of this page.
